Accessibility Statement

Last updated September 5, 2026.

Matt Jalon Books wants every visitor, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology, to be able to browse our books, read the blog, and download the free coloring book without running into barriers.

Our standard

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That includes things like:

  • A logical heading structure and landmark regions (header, main content, footer) on every page.
  • A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users, available on every page.
  • Visible keyboard focus outlines on every link, button, and form field.
  • Text and background color combinations that meet minimum contrast ratios.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and no alt text on purely decorative ones.
  • Forms with visible or properly linked labels, and status messages announced to screen readers.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system or browser.

Known limitations

This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We have not yet run a full third-party accessibility audit, and some pages built earlier may not meet every guideline above yet. We review and improve this as the site grows.

Let us know

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site, tell us. We want to fix it. Reach out through our contact page or email us directly at [email protected]. Please include the page you were on and the device or assistive technology you were using, so we can track down the issue faster.
